Palin: To Hell and Back

Sarah Palin knows that to win as election as President she must attract millions -- perhaps six million -- of the voters who once supported Hillary Clinton.

We. Love. This. Woman.

Why?

Because this woman loves America. She wakes up every morning, works hard, and does her best to do what’s right each and every day. In the face of the nastiest, most misogynistic, most vile attacks from Left, she soldiers on, with grace, class, style, and charm. People call her a hillbilly, comment on her looks, talk about her marriage, attack her daughter, but she continues to put herself out there because she believes she can make a difference for this country.

And how stupid is someone to believe that Palin is “going away”. For what reason? Why resign as Governor when she would be re-elected if she wanted…if that’s what she really wanted, was to be Governor of Alaska. Why leave office now?

Because the kooks in Alaska kept The Guv from traveling, prevented her from making speeches, raising money for candidates, and doing all the things she needs to do to build a national organization for herself. With her book set to launch in 2010, these same kooks would throw a wrench in her book tour, too, and the assorted Obots assigned to filing bogus ethics complaints against The Guv would complain left and right about her TV appearances, interviews, and other obligations going forward.

Palin is a very smart woman and knows 2012 is her shot if she wants to run for President…but she could not do that as Governor of Alaska. The state’s too far away, but more important than that, the people there are of a very special breed in that they don’t seem to understand a sitting Governor can indeed travel in other states, making appearances, and raising her profile, while carrying out the constitutional duties of the state.

In “the lower 48?, Governors cross state lines every day for one reason or another (just try to come between Charlie Crist and an especially attractive taffeta sale in Georgia…or between Bobby Jindal and an exorcism just about anywhere).

But, not Sarah Palin! Hell, no, she can’t go! Make her stay in Alaska where it’s cold and no one can see her! If she leaves the state for any reason, file more ethics complaints! We must destroy this woman AT ALL COSTS!

Dr. Utopia proves that just about anyone can become President of the United States. He spent less time in the US Senate before he ran for President than Sarah Palin has spent as the Chief Executive of the nation’s largest state, with extremely more important duties than any Senator has.

The fact that liberals wailed and cried every time she left the state — declaring how important her job was — proves what great experience she has, and how well she did her job. If her leaving the state’s borders, for even a day, would seemingly trigger a complete collapse of society in Alaska and the end of life as Alaskans knew it, then it’s ludicrous to argue the woman isn’t capable at what she does.

Sarah Palin: "One of Us"

I'm BACK. Until January 20, 2009, I'll be cross-posting here with my other blog (http://draftpalin2012.blogspot.com). After that fateful day (Inauguration Day), I'll write on this blog about the Obama presidency and on the DraftPalin blog about . . . drafting Palin to run against -- and defeat -- Obama in 2012. Thanks for visiting. I hope you'll return often.

Wonders Never Cease: In October, 2008, in Carson City, NV, the president of the LA Chapter of NOW endorses Gov. Sarah Palin

If I ran Sarah's presidential campaign -- and don't kid yourself, she wants to be President -- I would have as her slogan: "I am ONE OF YOU."

She is a wife, a mother (and mother of one soldier and one special needs child), a wife of a union member, a woman professional, an exemplar of Christian values, a staunch constitutionalist, a lifelong sportswoman and NRA member. She's an expert on energy, the environment, and integrity in government.

The MSM tended to ignore her multitude of connections with NORMAL AMERICAN PEOPLE. She is NOT an ideologue. She deeply believes in integrity, freedom, opportunity, and respect for others. That's enough.

Recently, I had a "discussion" with a staunch Hillaryite who was rhapsodizing about Mrs. Clinton's views on the middle class. I pointed out that Mrs. Clinton (Wellesley, Yale, Arkansas Governor's mansion, White House, and the $100 million fortune) is not -- and never has been -- a real member of the American middle class. Sarah has been -- and is.

I told the Hillaryite, "Sarah Palin has EVERYTHING in common with you -- and HRC has NOTHING in common with you."

In short, that's our Sarah. If she and those who support her make the same points, she can win in 2012. It will take a monumental effort by her -- and us. Obama and his "people" will stop at nothing in their efforts to retain power. They will make Rod Blagojevich look like Mother Theresa. We have to do what is necessary to stop them in their tracks.

Sarah will never (thank God) be a detail person -- and neither were any of our great Presidents. Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon were detail people.

I'll be writing more about Gov. Sarah Palin's remarkable rally Thursday night in Beaver, PA, a few miles from where I live. I have tremendous admiration for the Governor and her wonderful family. I met a number of superb women yesterday, including Alexandra, who was taping a program for HBO and Melissa Hart, a fine candidate for Congress in western PA.

On my Hillary Supporters for McCain blog, which is not long for this world, I'll be talking a great deal this week about the strengths of Sarah Palin and the manifold deficiencies of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Come visit.

Sarah Palin, Hillary, and Biden

Sarah Palin in red outline addresses huge crowd at the Colorado Springs Airport . . .

On the meeting between Bill Clinton and Barack Obama: Are we really to believe that the substance of the two men's discussion was Bill's advice that Barack use the same Mud Machine on Sarah Palin previously employed successfully against Hillary Clinton? That would be too cynical even for Beltway politics -- wouldn't it? Joseph Conrad wrote a novel about people's descent into evil -- "The Heart of Darkness" -- and both men should read it.

HILLARY CLINTON TO REPLACE JOE BIDEN?

I've been the main voice on the Internet discussing the story that Hillary Clinton -- early in October, it appears -- would replace Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket. I stand by this revelation because I believe it's true. The Houston Post-Chronicle recently printed a story suggesting such a "V-P Switcheroo" could be coming.

Remember that famous Friday a.m. (look back a couple of weeks) when I said at 2 a.m. that Sen. McCain would name Gov. Sarah Palin as his V-P? Many people, including some good friends, said I "must be mistaken." It must be Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty, right?

At 11 a.m. on that Friday when it was clear the not-so-gentle lady from Alaska, Sarah, would get the nod, many members of the media were angry. Why hadn't anyone told them? Well, I told them. My view of the MSM is that it consists mostly of incompetents who couldn't break an egg let alone a real story.

One development you've been hearing little if anything about is the effect Sarah Palin's tremendous popularity is having on congressional races. Because of America's love affair with Sarah, many Obama Democrats are now afraid they will lose their seats. That has added to the desperation in the ranks of the Party's far-left wing.

Many of the members of Congress most worried are those who truly need their "job" and have been on the federal dole for many decades.

Outside the comfy halls of Congress, most of these low-talent people would essentially be unemployable. Thus, they despise Sarah Palin because she threatens their livelihoods. So, look for a growing number of calls for Obama to: (1) "get tougher" -- to sling more mud and be more negative than he already is; (2) get rid of Biden and replace him with Senator Clinton (or perhaps even someone else).

I hope all the thousands of bloggers and other onliners who are supporting McCain-Palin will highlight the "Hillary" story. That's exactly what Obama, Axelrod, Brazille, and Dean don't want you to do. Continued discussion will shed light on developments the Obama Campaign would rather spring on Americans at the last moment.

Note: If you start hearing more stories, as we did last week, of Senator Biden's "health issues" (in actuality, he really doesn't have any), you will know the time is drawing nigh for Joe to exit Left. Would Hillary ride in on a white horse?

My predictions for the Oct. 2 V-P debate (if Joe makes it that far)? Sarah will mop the floor with him. His antics and windbag nature will turn off a huge number of women voters. Sarah will continue to look more "presidential" than either Obama or Biden. Sen. Biden's "health" would then worsen at warp speed.

In the 1972 presidential election, George McGovern named as his V-P pick Senator Thomas Eagleton (a fine man, by the way). Then, it came out that Eagleton had once undergone electro-shock treatments for depression. Calls came in from Party leaders to get Eagleton off the ticket.

Senator McGovern famously said he was behind Eagleton "100% -- no, 1,000 percent."

The next day McGovern dumped Eagleton, replacing him with Sargent Shriver (JFK's brother-in-law). In November, 1972, McGovern lost 49 states. Keep in mind the date October 5 (three days after the debate) :-)

Priest: "Hillary, Please Say Nobama"

The following was written by my very good friend and fellow Hillary Clinton Supporter Rev. Father V.M. Could you please post his message. He has asked me to send this to you with his deepest Love and appreciation and God's Blessing.

[Charles, a good friend a strong Hillary backer, sent this to me. Charles is one of those broken-hearted by Sen. Clinton's recent decisions, as is Father Massino. Please feel free to use this on your own blog or otherwise disseminate it.]

Hillary...We only have hours left and I know you'll never see this but maybe someone who has some contacts will get this to you. 18,000,000 wonderful supportive Americans helped you and stood by your side night and day. We watched you and cheered for you...when you laughed-we laughed, when you were hurt-we were hurt. We are, Hillary, your supporters who respect and admire you as a person who told us you would NEVER abandon us and now the worst of your enemies beckon you to come to their side. The people who mocked you, bashed you, insulted you, bought off the Media to destroy you etc....yes Hillary, now they call for help...well, we are calling also. True, you are a Democrat but you are an American and represent the people to whom you came to for support...now we ask you to help us...Do not yield to the call of evil but come to your friends...Please Hillary...tell your supporters tonite to vote for McCain and to do what's right. If you are not permitted to ask them to do this then,at the very least, do not ask them to support Obama. His attributes are not in thebest interest of the finest Country in the World. YOU KNOW OBAMA IS BAD FOR OUR COUNTRY..PLEASE, PLEASE HELP US.May the Lord be with you and guide you to make the decision from your heart.

Cristi Adkins Beating Barack Obama

"Barack Obama is trying to give Cristi Adkins the same mugging he did to Hillary Clinton. This time he's not going to succeed."

[On Sunday, I'll reveal "Obama's VP Text-Message Scam." Was Obama really sending out 3 a.m. messages on his Biden choice? Of course not. He was deceiving people with an "information grab," gathering cell phone numbers from individuals he'll contact many times -- perhaps always at 3 a.m.]

Cristi Adkins is mad as hell at Barack Obama, and she isn't going to take it -- his narcissistic, thuggish, dishonest campaign -- anymore. She's mad because Obama-bot have hacked your computers, sent her hate-filled e-mails, and even threatened her life.

She refuses to be intimidated.

Cristi is one of the most effective "Hillary Supporters", a woman who's working 14-hour-days to ensure the defeat on Nov. 4 of the man she calls "Hussein." She calls him that because she believes -- correctly -- that he has only a tangential connection to American values. His history demonstrates that he's much more at home in Kenya than in mainstream America, which is too "bitter" for his rarified tastes.

Obama and his sycophants despise what Cristi, a co-founder of Clintons4McCain and NobamaMission, is doing, and they've responded by initiating a campaign of hatred and innuendo against her.Cristi is a mom (two teenagers and a three-year-old), a wife, a veteran (former MP), and a nurse. The father of her two teenagers just came home from a combat tour in Afghanistan.

In short, she's the kind of American with whom Obama and his fellow elitists have nothing in common. Why does she bug Obama so much? Mainly because she's frequent guest on shows hosted by people by Neil Cavuto, Sean Hannity, Jim Bohannon. She's even been on the "Daily Show."

Right now, she's headed to Denver to "Just Say No Deal" to Barack H. Obama. She's a force in contemporary politics. For that reason, she's been the target of absurd attacks by bloggers who serve as cheerleaders for BHO.

To many of the people reading this blog: Were you aware that Obama PAYS his bloggers? Most of them get roughly $7 an hour, and some apparently receive much more. That would come as news to people who visit their sites and believe they're getting something approximating "straight talk." In fact, those bloggers are presenting all the "news" that fits with the Obama agenda.

In our own NoBama Mission Bloggers, a brainchild of Cristi Adkins and others in the NoBama Mission effort, we will have 200 blogs by the end of this day. How many of them are paid by anyone? A grand total of zero. They are all volunteers -- just like me, just like Cristi, just like the other tens of thousand of people who center their lives around the NoBama effort.

One thing Cristi is asked is why she works with non-Democrats. Well, DUH! She founded Clintons4McCain. She didn't found Clintons4Nobody, or Clintons4theheckuvait. If you're against Obama with us, you're among friends.

The NoBama effort is perhaps the most diverse coalition in American history. It consists of Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and even a stray Libertarian or two. In that effort, there are liberals, moderates, and conservatives. There are no far-left crazies or America-haters, unlike Obama's own scary group.

What binds our people of so many different views together is a commitment to the following statement: "Barack Obama is too inexperienced, too unqualified, too untrustworthy, and too dangerous to be POTUS." Anyone who shares that view is welcome in our coalition.

The hate campaign by Obama, his staffers, and his bought-and-paid for bloggers against Cristi is similar to the effort they waged against Hillary Clinton. Of course, she has been one of the more liberal members of the Clinton Administration and the U.S. Senate.

Many Black members of Congress backed her bid for the presidency. Those who did so are now being punished by Obama at the Democratic National Convention. Charlie Rangel, one of the most important members of the House and a Clinton backer, has NOT been invited to speak.

For her efforts on behalf of civil rights and liberal causes, Hillary Clinton was branded by Obama and his surrogates as a warmonger, a liar, and a racist. Geraldine Ferraro, also a long-time proponent of civil rights, was also labeled a racist, as was President Bill Clinton.

Given this background by Obama and his minions, it's no surprise that Cristi Adkins is under attack. Of course, she isn't being defamed for her statements about Obama, all of which are factual. Instead, they're trying to bleed her to death with a thousand pinpricks. She's accused of saying this (maybe) once, or of knowing this person or someone else, or of advocating this-or-that.

Does Cristi head right to the front-lines, where the chances of taking political shrapnel are the greatest? If you've ever seen her in action, you know she does. Also, she "pushs the envelope." She takes after "Hussein" in creative, imaginative ways. Most of these efforts work, and some don't, which is par for the course with risk-takers.

The main "charge" against Cristi is that she once was in a business venture that didn't work out. Big deal. There are probably 150 million Americans, including this one, who are in the same boat.

In fact, Cristi -- my friend and political ally -- is one of the single most effective spokeswomen in America against Obama. As long as that remains the case -- and it will through November 4 -- Obama and his meanspirited, robotic followers will try to destroy her. In other words, they will try to "Hillary-boat" her, just as they did the junior Senator from New York.

I have news for the man Cristi calls "Hussein." You will not succeed. You will not win this election. You are up against people who will not rest until John McCain sends you back to the Chicago political machine that spawned you.

What can the readers of this piece do in support of Cristi Adkins, American? You can go to Clintons4McCain and NoBama Mission and sign up as members of those organizations. Many thousands of people have already done. Please do it for Cristi -- and do it for America. Now.

Note: Below is the link to the Jim Bohannen show on which Cristi Adkins appeared. It's very much worth listening to.http://search.everyzing.com/viewMedia.jsp?dedupe=1&index=8&col=en-all-public-ep&e=20600582&il=en&format=xml&num=10&scol=pod&mc=en-all&start=0&q=networks&expand=true&match=query,channel&filter=1

How YOU Can Stop Obamamania

This column went out to a huge number of Americans. The exact number will not be revealed, but it impressed the heck out of me! A great accomplishment by my tireless friend, Cristi Adkins, one of the founders of Clintons for McCain.

http://hillaryclintonnews.blogspot.com

Cristi Adkins

Watching television on Mother's Day, with a growing degree of angst, I surfed the channels to see Senator Clinton's historic Grafton, WV appearance. The first female presidential candidate of my lifetime, this champion for women campaigned on the 100th anniversary of Mother's Day at the international shrine of Anna Jarvis, the founder of mother's day. Like Clinton, Jarvis committed herself to the betterment of womankind. She meant for Mother's Day to be a sacred occasion, dedicated to honoring our mothers for their sacrifices and devotion.

Yet, on that Sunday, May 11, 2008, not even a whisper of this meaningful event was heard on any of the airwaves. What was the substitution that mothers all over America were left to be honored with this Mother's Day? Bizarre episodes of “Obamamania.”

The day passed with no mention of Clinton's appearance on any broadcast that I could find. In fact, there were but a few mentions of Senator McCain's commercial with him sitting beside his 96-year-old Mother. Somehow, they weren’t “newsworthy.”

Instead, television accounts of Senator Obama's events and movements accosted this country on that blessed day like an acoustic assault. Through the tears in my eyes and soreness in my heart, I watched our chance of positive change slipping further away. I could ask but one question...how do I help supporters of Mrs. Clinton say good bye to their hopes of a fair and balanced political season?

If you've wondered again and over again how all this Obamamania started, then you’re not alone. It is by no accident you find yourself reading this now. Never knowing what could have been should the popular consensus have conquered the ignorance of the elect, we are forced to swallow the noise. What we are left with is the Obama hype, also known as Obamamania.

Yet, there are champions among us...holding the front line steady and asking for your help now. Like Anna Jarvis, who was never too busy or too lazy to write letters in support of her cause, you too have all that is needed right now to impact this Obamamania.

In fact, a pen and paper were the greatest weapons in Anna Jarvis' arsenal in her efforts to use motherhood as a tool for healing the country during the Civil War.In 1905, through tireless letter writing to politicians, religious leaders and even retail moguls, real change came about. Anna Jarvis' simple idea of honoring mothers spawned a movement that before long swept the world.

Yes, this middle-class, blue collar woman at the turn of the century achieved an unusual accomplishment for her time; all through the persistence of her pen.Anna Jarvis' time here has passed, but her spirit lives every second Sunday in May. It is in this same spirit that she can still teach us a thing or two about change that is more than merely pretty words. The leaders of this movement, our movement, your movement ...Nobama... are asking you now to bring about a positive change.

You can nurture and grow this effort; and, all you need to do now is write – more often now with key strokes than with Anna’s pen strokes. Now, this time, in our time, 2008, we too have the power to help once more to change the course of history and ease the pain of this country. Yes, Obama is right – although not in the way he thinks about change for this country; but, yes it is time. And as Patty Loveless reminds us, ‘life is about change; nothing ever stays the same.'

As our forces continue to gather, we ask everyone to take pen to hand, tap on your laptop and network through the blogosphere...now. Tell the world, tell it here, tell it now, tell it loud.

It's time to reach out...reach out to the news media, to the Obama supporters and even to the Super Delegates and ask them, "How can we help you to Say Goodbye to Obama-mania?"Email friends, relatives and even not-so-loved ones to remind them that while change is unavoidable, Obama's kind of change is suspect, the product of an inexperienced and dangerous man.

Write to super-delegates as Ricki Lieberman suggests and point out the obvious. Send editorials to your local papers...tell America Why Obama is Untrustworthy and Dangerous! It’s time for a positive change, a healing moment and a new beginning in this next chapter of our country. It starts with saying 'Goodbye' to the politics of the parties and hello to the President for the People, all the people.

Then, while you're at it, give the people you write to all of the reasons ‘Why You Think Obama is not trustworthy – and not the man for America.’

Obama thinks his followers are really dumb.

He's finally right about something!

Contributor: The Axis of Stevil.

We all remember the 2000 election fiasco in Florida, right? Remember the voters who were willing to stick their face in front of a TV camera and say they were confused by the ballot? At the time I wondered how these people could be stupid enough to be confused by that ballot, and then compound it by being too stupid to understand that they probably shouldn't go on national television admitting it. But the question is, was that an anomaly or is the average Democrat that devoid of common sense?

Well, far be it from me to imply that the state of intelligence on the other side of the isle is that bad off. I don't want to believe that to be the case. But what does Barack Hussein Obama think about the IQ of his base? A quick look at his website's meta tags will answer that question for us.

Let me start by explaining meta tags for those who might be unfamiliar. Meta tags are a list of keywords which are used to define the content of your website to help direct users to your site via search engines. The tags can be viewed by right clicking on a page and viewing the page source info. By viewing these keywords, you can determine the audience a site is trying to reach. For example, a site about cars would use tags such as cars, auto, automobile, sports cars, etc because that is what people searching for their content would type into the search engine. Now let's take a look at what Barack Obama thinks his supporters might type in in an attempt to locate his site. Here are his meta tags.

president, senator, illinois, chicago, barack, barck, barek, obama, 2008, 08, presidential, president, campaign, election

Barck? You have got to be kidding me. Does Obama really think his supporters are that stupid that they would think "Barack" would be spelled "Barck"? Or even Barek, for that matter? I could understand maybe Barrack or even Barock, but "Barck"? While it is common to use misspellings in ones meta keywords, typically one uses common misspellings in order to account for common typos. For example, let's look at John McCain's keywords.

John McCain, McCain, mccain for president, John S. McCain, McCain 2008, president, presidential, 2008, campaign, election, straight talk, straight talk express, politics, political, john mccain, john mccain for president, senator john mccain, sen. john mccain, cindy mccain, john mcain, john mckaine, john maccane, jon mccain, john maccaine, john mccaine, mccain 2008, johnmccain.com, senator mccain, mccain 2000, mccain campaign, mccain hq, exploremccain.com, explore mccain, mccain exploratory committee, mccain exploratory...

Notice a difference here? Look at the misspellings they use, "john mcain, john mckaine, john maccane, jon mccain, john maccaine," these are all different possible spellings of the same word.

You don't see some oddball, off the wall spelling like "McKnai." Why? Because McCain assumes his supporters can at the very least make a reasonable attempt at spelling his name. This seems to be much more faith than Barck... Barek... Umm, Barack Obama has in the intelligence level of his supporters. He obviously thinks they're stupid, and they are!

Chicken George and Obama

I love the Chicken George idea for Obama. He's too chicken to debate. He's too chicken to allow questions that would pin him down. He's chicken to do these things because he has no core principles. He's too chicken to let America know where he stands --on anything. He's an unknown quantity and much too inexperienced to be President.

In one of his commercials (the idiotic one on energy) he observes darkly that McCain ha sbeen in Washington "for 26 years." I guess that compares with the 26 WEEKS (134 days?) Obama has actually spent on the Senate floor. Since his commercials always contain falsehoods, they're easy targets for us -- and McCain.

On Iraq, I hope McCain says that Obama has spent no time on the ground there, so he obviously has no first-hand knowledge of what's going on there. When the surge began to work well, Obama didn't retract his earlier comments. Instead, he took the anti-surge material down from his web site. I'm not making that up.

DEMOCRATS OPPOSING OBAMA
Here's a Democrat responding to an Obama-bot:
I am a proud member of the puma group from kansas city missouri. i donated over $300 to hillary this season, voted for gore, clinton and even boring kerry. I will NEVER vote for barack obama. the charges that you keep espousing as lies are TRUE.
Obama is a racist - anyone who attends and financially supports a church that promotes black supremacy for 20 years is a racist. it's disgusting that bo and mo subjected their young innocent daughters to such hate filled vile speech. obama also had a perverted pastor jeremiah right marry him and baptize his kids. I would never vote for a white person who sat in a kkk church for 20 years, and gave ugly sermons like wright either.
I think my opinion here is pretty consistent. Don't forget to read Barack's own books where on numerous occasions he himself states utter disdain for the white blood that courses through his veins.obama sympathizes with terrorists and surrounds himself with advisors who are tied to and financially support terrorist groups - this is the truth.
All you have to do is investigate his relationship with bill ayers. obama didn't just meet ayers in the neighborhood, ayers LAUNCHED bo's political career and the two served on the board of the woods foundation for years. these two know each other very well. look at james zogby, another close obama advisor whose number one goal is to elect arabs to office. zobgy has financially supported groups like hamas. look at rashid khalidi..soros. .meeks... the list goes on.
Obama is corrupt. this is also true. investigate bo's relatinship with rezko. obama lied on national tv when he said he only knew rezko from 5 hours of work with his lawfirm. obama's close relationship with rezko goes back 20 years. at first bo pretended rezko only contributed a couple of thousand to his campaign, but then the number jumped to $16 k, $60 k, $150, $250k....gee el jefe talk about LIES! everything that comes out of bo's mouth is a lie.I could go on and on...but understand this -
I am a moderate dem from missouri. in november I will choose COUNTRY over party and happily vote john mccain because he has honor and integrity, two qualities essential in any candidate running for president. barack obama has neither. he is a disgrace to the democratic party and I will do everything I can to ensure he does not make it to the white house.

Hillary Chooses Party Over Country

Hillary's Speech: "A tale full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." (MacBeth)

"In her ferociously waged campaign, Sen. Clinton made many friends. Today, with one cynicial -- and pervasively political -- speech, she lost many of them."

"I would rather lose an election than lose a war." (John McCain) Does anyone believe Senators Clinton and Obama are capable of uttering a similar sentiment?

Senator Clinton's address today was well-delivered but substantively empty. She reminded me a great deal of Roseanne Roseanna Dann (Gilder Radner) on the old "Saturday Night Live." She was the one who wildly misunderstood political concept and, when that was pointed out to her, would say, "Oh, never mind."

Today, Sen. Clinton gave us a tagline for her presidential campaign: "Oh, never mind." It was, as Shakespeare said in Macbeth, "a tale full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Sen. Clinton's speech today was one that valued Party over Country, which is profoundly disturbing. In her campaign, she raised serious question about Barack Obama's fitness to be President. In today's speech, she did not deal with -- or resolve -- those questions. Are we really to believe that when that 3 a.m. call arrives on the red phone that Obama has suddenly become ready to answer?

In the campaign, Obama and his surrogates branded Senator Clinton (and supporters like Geraldine Ferraro and Bill Clinton) as racists, liars, and warmongers. Any comment on those points Mrs. Clinton? "Oh, never mind." I guess it's just all "politics -- i.e., meaningless, trivial, hot air. "Oh, never mind."

Does she want us to believe that he has suddenly transformed himself into some who can deal effectively with great challenges? Is the man -- Obama -- that Bill Clinton said last week had "slimed" his wife through surrogates like Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger now a man of decency?

Mrs. Clinton told us this afternoon how great the Democratic Presidents of our lifetime had been. Oh really? President Carter with high inflation, high unemployment, a terrible energy crisis, and Americans languishing captive in Iran? President Johnson engaged in an endless conflict in Vietnam? President Clinton entertaining Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office? Those are not good memories, Hillary.

Presidents Johnson, Carter, and Clinton were all men who valued Party slightly more than country -- and they did great damage to their nation. In the campaign, Hillary Clinton spoke some hard truths about the inadequacies of her opponent. Today, she delivered a speech, one written by someone else, that was in total conflict with everything she said over the past two years. It was certainly not her finest hour. The people who supported Hilary's historic campaign should be very dismayed at what she said today.

If you want to read about a woman of real courage and toughness, you'll find one right below. She values country and family first, and she's a critic of her Party when it falls short of its obligations. Mrs. Clinton feels her Party is perfect, and that's just one of the ways she fails to live up to the standards manifested by Gov. Palin. Sarah is America's future. Hillary Clinton is a fading remnant of America's past.

In Sen. Clinton's ferociously waged campaign, she made many friends. Today, with one cynical -- and pervasively political -- speech, she lost a lot of them.

A tough governor, Alaska's Sarah Palin, with some equally tough soldiers from her state. Gov. Palin's 18-year-old son, Track, is in the U.S. Army infantry. He enlisted on September 11, 2007. A lot high elected officials talk a great deal about how they "support our troops." Obviously, Gov. Palin's support -- and personal involvement -- goes ways beyond rhetoric.

Is this the woman who will face off against Hillary Clinton for the presidency in 2012 or 2016? A growing number of observers believe that will the case. Sarah is regularly called "America's most popular governor," a designation coined by Weekly Standard editor and FOX News commentator Fred Barnes. If you'd like to know why Gov. Palin is so widely admired, please read the Barnes article. http://weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/013/851orcjq.asp

This Saturday and Sunday, I'll be writing about Sarah Palin on this site -- with a separate piece on my Hillary Supporters blog. After Sen. Clinton's speech this Saturday, I'll discuss why Hillary Supporters (and others) should be urging Sen. McCain to put Mrs. Palin on the Republican ticket.

Today, on my Pennsylvania blog, I have a posting about the many qualities Gov. Palin brings to the table -- why she has broad appeal to many important groups. If you'd like read more right now about Sarah's many strengths, please visit that site.

The founder of the Draft Sarah Palin movement, Adam Brickley, writes almost daily about Sarah at his site: http://palinforvp.blogspot.com. He's been receiving thousands of "hits" daily. Adam, a 21-year-old and recent college graduate, illustrates what one energized person can accomplish in today's America.

More to follow after Mrs. Clinton speech at noon.

On Tuesday, June 10, I'll be on Sirius radio, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. On that national broadcat, I'll be discussing Sarah Palin and why John McCain should name her to the ticket. I hope you'll listen -- and call in if you'd like.

Black Conservatives: Obama Endangers County

Bulletin Regarding Gov. Sarah Palin (who always puts her hand on her heart when the National Anthem plays):

First, the founder of Race42008.com, Kavon W. Nikrad, has backed Gov. Palin for VP. This is one of our biggest endorsements yet, and you can read why I think it is important on the blog. Second, several supporters have emailed to tell me that, according to CNN, the Governor will be featured on Monday's Glenn Beck TV program (7-9 PM EST on CNN Headline News). Details have not yet been posted, and I have received several differing tips; so I don't know that exact nature or subject matter of the feature (I'm hoping it includes an interview). I will post details on the blog if and when I find out more. Otherwise, just be sure to tune into Glenn Beck tomorrow night.-- Adam Brickley Founder, "Draft Sarah Palin for Vice President"palinforvp.blogspot.com

"Barack, tell us how you really feel." (Barack Obama, Bill Richardson, Hillary Clinton, and Mrs. Tom Harkin in Iowa)

"Obama plans to gut U.S. defenses."

If you want to know what's going on in the continuing debate over America's future, it's a good idea to avoid the national media, which -- on the whole -- remains as clueless as ever. Recently, some of the Black Conservatives (Yahoo Group) have been condemning Barack Obama's weakness when it come to defending America from its enemies. Frankly, Obama doesn't seem to recognize that the U.S. has enemies. Here are recent comments and links from Black Conservatives "Westloop" and "GhostPuppy911."

westloop@yahoo.com said the following:

In 2007, Barack Obama spoke before the Caucus for Priorities, which proposes re-routing defense spending to social causes.

He promised, "As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand withCaucus for Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington. First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the onl major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning -- and as president, I will end it.

"Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems, and I will institute an independent defense priorities board to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.

"Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material, and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals. You know where I stand."

In other words, Obama plans to gut US defenses. If the US ceases to defend itself, it will soon be overwhelmed; then who else would step-up to defend the world against Totalitarianism? France?

McCain: Choose Sarah Palin Now!

I guess this is Alaska Governor Sarah Palin week on SteveMaloneyGOP. Several important bloggers have endorsed Sarah recently. One of them is the absolutely wonderful Jean Avery, who manages http://moms4mccain.blogspot.com. Jean is one of the brightest political activists in America (along with Sharon Caliendo), and I urge you to visit her site. (Sharon blogs at: http://democratsforsale.blogspot.com). You also want to visit the site of the individual, Colorado's own Adam Brickley, who founded the "Draft Sarah Palin Movement." Two years ago, he was the only member of the movement. I was the third. Now, Sarah Palin is a national fiigure with an army of supporters.Adam blogs at: http://palinforvp.blogspot.com. It would be a bold, imaginative step for John McCain to pick Sarah as his running mate, but boldness and imagination are just what we have come to expect of the Senator from Arizona. If you want to read just one article that captures the essence of Sarah's appeal, see Fred Barnes' Weekly Standard piece ("The Most Popular Governor") at: http://weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/013/851orcjq.asp. Thanks also to Cindy at The Pink Flamingo, one of the most popular blogs, for her continuing support of Sarah. And a salute to the irrepressible (and almost unpronouncable) FullosseousFlap, a big-time blogger, for his endorsement this week at: http://flapsblog.com/?p=7028#comment-87351. If you haven't yet seen my HillarySupportersforMcCain blog, one of the most unusual going, well, what are you waiting for? McCain's chances for the presidency rise and fall on the basis of how effectively he can attract Hillary Supporters.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Heath Palin, McCain's best choice for V-P

BLOGGERS AND OTHER ONLINERS: IF YOU HAVE A BLOG OR WEB SITE, PLEASE REPRINT THIS NOW! The points made by "Ted" are so important I'm putting this up on all my blogs.

Ted has left a new comment on your post "Sarah Palin Belongs to America":

Here's an important piece of advice: If it looks like it's going to be McCain/Palin anyway (and that should be a "no brainer" for Team McCain), McCain should announce NOW or VERY SOON, rather than later towards the convention. There's currently a growing chorus for Obama/Hillary (as VP) ticket (in fact the Dems are likely aware of the Palin phenomenon).

If the GOP waits while movement for Hillary as VP grows -- even worse until after it is solidified that Hillary will/could be VP pick -- selecting Palin will be portrayed by Dems/liberal media more as a reaction by GOP selecting its own female (overshawdoing Palin's own remarkable assets), rather than McCain taking the lead on this.

Selecting Palin now or early (contrary to the punditocracy) will mean McCain will be seen as driving the course of this campaign overwhelmingly, and the DEMS will be seen as merely reacting. And, there's absoultely no down-side to this because even if Hillary is a no-go as VP for Obama, the GOP gains by acting early.

McCain the maverick. Palin the maverick. Do it now! There's no reason, and actually substantial negative, in McCain waiting to see what the Dems do first insofar as his picking Palin as VP, because, no matter who Obama picks, Palin is by far (and I mean far) the best pick for McCain and the GOP, especially in this time of GOP woes.

The GOP can be seen as the party of real 'change' (albeit I hate that mantra, change, change, bla bla), while not really having to change from GOP core conservative values, which Palin more than represents. In light of the current oil/energy situation, as well as the disaffected female Hillary voters situation, and growing focus on McCain's age and health, Palin is more than perfect -- now.(Perhaps Team McCain is already on to this.)

My comment: Ted, you said it all. John McCain needs to understand that choosing the usual suspects -- two older white guys with silver hair -- is not a winning combination this year. Few people who know about Sarah and her stellar career doubt she will be President of the U.S. someday, so let's get her front-and-center NOW.

Note: To find out more about the remarkable Sarah Palin, please vote Adam Brickley's site at: http://palinforvp.blogspot.com/. Adam is the founder of the "Draft Palin for V-P Movement."

Note 2: McCain's campaign slogan should be: "Positive Change for America."

Will Hillary Supporters Back McCain?

I'm cross-posting the following from my Hillary Supporters for McCain site, which I urge you to visit. Note: If you go to the Hillary Supporters site, you will see some remarkable comments (added noon, Wed.) about Hillary backers who are moving strongly toward McCain. http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com. Your thoughts on this subject are always appreciated.

In Kentucky exit polls are showing that two-thirds of Clinton voters are saying they will not vote for Obama in the General Election. Forty-one percent are saying they will vote for John McCain. That more than the percentage that say they would vote for Obama in the General Election.

Mrs. Clinton won the Kentucky primary by more than 250,000 votes -- an incredibly large number. That's a bigger number -- but not a lot bigger -- than her margin in Pennsylvania.

That's why I'm asking Pennsylvania congressional candidates and their supporters to say, "A vote for my opponent is a vote for Barack Obama." That is not the conventional wisdom, but the conventional wisdom is wrong in this case. To my friends running for Congress, I urge you to tie yourself and your campaign to John McCain.

All along, I have been asking some very good Republican congressional candidates (most in Pennsylvania) to ally themselves with -- and strongly endorse -- John McCain.

The other day when a reporter asked Senator McCain about Hillary's continuing her campaign, I didn't believe he exploited the opportunity. He made vague comments about the ups and downs of campaigns, pointing to the time when he was way behind, etc.

There's a fire raging in the Democratic Party, and McCain should experiment with pouring some "verbal gasoline" on it. If he doesn't believe they're stealing the nomination from her, he can note that many people do feel that way.

Specifically, they believe she's suffering from unfair actions by Howard Dean and friends, along with a media that's "in the tank for Obama." By the way, I agree with those Hillary supporters on that assessment.

The point is that John McCain and his entire campaign should be reaching out -- now -- to Hillary supporters. The Hillary-ites should know that they're very welcome in the McCain camp.

One other step John could take that would keep most of those Hillary supporters (including the 41% in KY) in his camp is to name an outstanding female as his running mate. I believe that female is Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.

The way to get women elected to the nation's highest offices is to put them in a position to run for vice-president and President. A woman like Sarah Palin has the toughness, integrity, and campaign skills to become a President of the U.S. She deserves the chance to run for that office.

We need those Hillary supporters, and we need strong support from women in general.

A WV Whomping: Hillary Clinton

This morning (Wednesday) I got a call from a producer of "The Curtis Sliwa Show" on WABC-radio in New York City. He was looking for a guest who was a strong Hillary Clinton supporter. I didn't qualify because I will support John McCain in the presidential election. However, I did emphasize that I admired Hillary's grit, determination, and will to win. I also admire Curtis Sliwa, the founder of "The Guardian Angels," for his efforts to reduce crime in American cities. I hope to be on his show soon. If Sen. Clinton believes she would be the best President, and she obviously does, she should stay in the race.

Note: This is the Tuesday night/Wednesday morning column from my new "Hillary Supporters for McCain" blog. I hope you'll visit it and take a look at some of the many columns there. Go to: http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com. The blog's purpose is to establish a dialogue with Hillary Clinton supporters who may honor John McCain with their votes on Nov. 4.

"The one thing you know about Sen. Clinton is that she's a very determined person." (Ron Allen, NBC News)

"The Obama campaign spent twice as much money in WV as Clinton." (Lou Dobbs, CNN)

Wolf Blitzer: "Michelle Obama is going to be heading for Puerto Rico . . ."

My response: "Maybe she'll stay there . . . "

Let's see, it's now 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time, and the networks are falling over themselves to declare Hillary Clinton the winner. For a change, the networks are right. MSNBC is saying that exit polls are showing Mrs. Clinton will win by "a two-to-one margin."

I have a strong feeling that the margin of victory will be more than two-to-one. I wouldn't be surprised if Sen. Clinton hits the magic 70% number. If she can beat Barack Obama by, say, 71% to 29%, it will be an embarrassment for the Illinois Senator. It would probably be a good excuse for him to ignore West Virginia in the general election.

About those exit polls: Hillary supporters are not big fans of Barack Obama. In fact, most of them say they would not vote for Barack Obama against John McCain. The numbers for Hillary supporters are as follows: 36% of them -- presumably with many holding their noses -- would vote Obama if he's the nominee. However, an amazing 35% -- more than a third -- say they would vote McCain, and most of them probably would. The rest, about 29%, say they'd stay home on Election Day.

Tonight, there's much talk about the possibility of Sen. Clinton as a vice-presidential candidate. I believe the talk misses two essential points about the V-P nomination. One, she wouldn't accept it; two, Barack Obama won't offer it to her.

In fact, the Republican campaign next fall will feature many Hillary statements about Obama. The famous one is: "I [Hillary] have a lifetime of experience. Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience. Senator Obama has a speech he delivered in 2002 [against the Iraq War]."

Translation: Sen. Clinton believes John McCain is qualified and able to be President of the U.S. (POTUS). She believes Senator Obama is not qualified -- and perhaps not able enough -- to be POTUS.If

Mrs. Clinton were to accept the vice-presidential nomination, what would she say about her previous comments regarding Obama? Could she say, "Oh, never mind" or "Fooled you, didn't I?"As the presumptive (and almost certain) nominee, Barack Obama comes into the election with some serious problems.

He recognizes them as we see in his new commercials. At one point, the narrator (not Obama) talks about the importance of "his Christian faith," a term I don't believe Obama has ever used. The main segment shows young Barack with his two white grandparents, both of whom he basically dismisses in his book Dreams From My Father. As you'll recall, he referred to his grandmother as "a typical white person." His grandfather, whom Obama like to say "served in Patton's Army" is dismissed in the book as a man who "never saw combat."

What are they, Barack? A couple of comical honkies or revered relatives? It all seems to depend on how they can be of best use to him.

By far the best candidate in the Democratic primaries is Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and her Party is getting ready to throw her under the bus.

Calling Hillary Clinton's Big Win

Note: Wednesday evening on my "Hillary Supporters for McCain" site, I posted a piece with information you haven't seen before. It explains "Why Hillary Should be the (Democrats) Nominee." Yes, I strongly support John McCain for President, but I also support basic fairness, which is absent in the Democrats' process. Go to: http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com.

Eric Dondero, a popular host on BlogTalkRadio and blogger at: http://mainstreamlibertarianr.blogspot.com/ sent the following message today:

You all, please take a moment to visit the Blog this morning. I've got an article up praising our own Stephen Maloney of PA for getting the PA predication 100% correct.

Can you all believe this? Stephen bucked the conventional wisdom. Told us last week that Hillary would win by 55% to 45% contrary to all the Pro-Obama propoganda the MSM was pushing at the time, about a "late Obama Surge."

Stephen gave us the view from the ground.

Stephen: You are now officially nicknamed "Nostradamus." Good job my man! Good job!!

Steve adds: I hope you'll visit Eric's site today. Later today (Wednesday), I'll discuss some of the reasons for Mrs. Clinton's big victory. On my site with the most unusual title (http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com/), I'll give some powerful reasons why Senator Clinton should get the Democratic nomination. In November of this year, I'll be voting for John McCain for the presidency, but I believe his opponent should be Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Why the Polls Were Wrong in PA . . .

A week ago, I told Terry Madonna, who heads the Franklin & Marshall College poll (a good one) that I was right and his poll and (most) others were wrong. I said so because people (especially African-Americans) who are voting for Hillary sometimes say they're voting for Obama. It has happened before (Ohio) but the pollsters keep getting it wrong. Michael Barone on FOX said the same thing early last night, even before there were any real numbers out. The exit polls of voters said that Hillary would win by 52-48.

The point is that it's not fashionable in some areas for people to say they're support Hillary. However, when they go in the voting booth, they do just that.

Thanks to everyone who honors me by visiting this site.

Hillary Supporters Should Back McCain

Thanks to everyone who honors me by coming to this site.

As many of you know, I believe it's critical to reach out to Hillary Clinton supporters, many of whom say they will vote for John McCain if Barack Obama gets the nomination. Recently, I started an innovative site called: http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com/. I sincerely believe Mrs. Clinton is a better candidate than Obama, but he's likely to end up with nomination. On my Hillary site tomorrow (Wednesday), I'll have a column about why Mrs. Clinton should get the nomination. It will contain information you haven't seen before. I urge you to visit the "Hillary" site.

Senator Clinton won a major victory tonight in Pennsylvania. As some of you know, I predicted her winning margin would be either 55-45 or 54-46. It appears that I was right on target. Obama may very well win the nomination, but his campaign is floundering badly.

Hillary Winning in PA, Nationwide

NOTE: MY MONDAY (AND TUESDAY) COLUMN WILL COME UP ABOUT 7 P.M. THIS EVENING. I'M STICKING BY MY PREDICTION THAT HILLARY CLINTON WILL WIN BY DOUBLE-DIGITS IN PA. GOV. ED RENDELL, A HILLARY CLINTON BACKER, IS PREDICTING A SINGLE-DIGIT WIN, BUT I BELIEVE HE'S ENGAGING IN THE TIME-HONORED TRADITION OF "LOWERING EXPECTATIONS."

The column below is reposted from my Pennsylvania site (http://pennsylvaniaforjohnmccain.com. In this year's election, Pennsylvania is going to be what the pundits call "highly competitive." Generally, the columns on the Pennsylvania site will be "states-specific," recognizing that PA is going to be a critical battleground state. Later today, I'll be putting up a new -- and extremely important -- blog called: http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com. When Obama wins the nomination, as he presumably will, many Hillary supporters -- perhaps one-in-four -- will be inclined to vote for John McCain, and the Hillary site will involve discussions about that development. I urge you to visit both these sites.

Hillary Winning in PA, Nationwide
On Sunday, April 20, the results of the latest Gallup "Tracking Poll" were released. They showed Hillary Clinton leading nationally among Democrats by one percentage point. A week ago, Obama's lead in the Gallup Poll was about 11 points, so there's been a dramatic drop in his national support.

In Pennsylvania, the average of polls shows Mrs. Clinton's lead at about five points. Some analysts, including this one, believe it's entirely possible that Clinton will win in the Keystone State by approximately 10 percentage points. I've guessed it will be approximately 55% to 45%, although it could conceivably be by as much as 57% to 43%.

Clinton is stronger in Pennsylvania than you might have been hearing on TV. Right now, she's tied or leading in every demographic except Blacks and the wealthiest of Democrats.

If Mrs. Clinton has a double-digit win in Pennsylvania, look for to call on Super Delegates to support her. Presumably, she will point directly to the Gallup Poll as illustrating that she's the most electable candidate. She would have a powerful argument in her favor.

Clearly, Obama has been hurt by two factors: (1) his "bitter" comments about small town America; (2) his poor performance in the recent debate. The national media, many of whom obviously support Obama, have been slow to report on the dramatic changes taking place in the Democratic race.

Keep a close eye on those Gallup Tracking Polls. If Senator Clinton extends her lead, the Democratic race may become more chaotic than it already is. My own guess? That the battle will go right to the convention floor in Denver, an eventuality that will help John McCain.

In fact, McCain is looking like a probable winner in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and even New Jersey, usually thought of as a solid "Blue State." Mrs. Clinton had solid wins in Ohio and New Jersey, and she should have a similar result in PA.

Clinton & Obama: "Demolition Derby"

"You cannot associate with an America-bashing preacher or invent a story about braving sniper fire while landing at a quiet airport in Tuzla without paying a price."

If you want to see the best material about the American political scene, stay away from CNN and MSNBC -- and instead go to a London-based publication, The Economist. There are several good political writers on the magazine's staff, but the best one goes by the name of "Lexington." Here's what he says in the April 5-11, 2008 issue (page 39):

"It looks as if Pat Robertson and his cohorts were right all along: God really is a Republican. The Democrats ought to have little problem retaking the White House this November, given the unpopular war, the weakening economy, and the anti-Republican backlash. But instead of measuring the White House drapes, they are engaged in what Bill Kristol, a Republican commentator, has gleefully dubbed a 'rollicking demolition derby.'"

In the essay, Lexington adds, "The Democrats are all too aware that their civil war [in the primaries] could spell disaster. A cavalcade of senior Democrats, including senators Patrick Leahy and Chris Dodd, have advised Mrs. Clinton to retire to her room with a glass of whisky and a loaded revolver."

In his piece, Lexington gives some very good reasons why Mrs. Clinton should NOT withdraw from the race -- and provides some insights you haven't seen before.

Why you haven't seen such analysis in America -- and especially, why the Clinton campaign isn't heralding it -- are the big questions. You've heard that Obama has won the most pledged delegates, the most states, and the most popular votes. All that is true (although it doesn't include popular votes from Michigan and Florida, both of which Clinton won), but it is one of those truths that may contain a larger falsehood.

Here's "Lexington's" unique analysis of Senator Clinton's situation: "She can . . . make a plausible case that she is the stronger candidate."How? "She [can make the point that] she so far [has] won 14 states with 44% of the country's population (16 states with 53% of the population if you include Florida and Michigan) compared with [Obama's] 27 states with 34% of the population. She has won Florida and Ohio, two battleground states, and will almost certainly win [another,] Pennsylvania."

Steve adds: The main mistake the Clinton campaign made was to pay little attention to the caucus states, starting with Iowa and extending to places like Wyoming and Idaho. Obama wounded her with a thousand cuts in the smaller states, and that's a major reason he's ahead in pledged delegates.

Another element that hurt her was the bloc voting by Blacks in states like South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Is Senator Obama going to win SC, GA, MS, and LA? He's not going to come close to winning any of them. In the general election, he's going to have real problems winning most of the large states Mrs. Clinton carried in the primaries (such as TX, OH, and PA). Obama will do better than Kerry in many of the "red states," but he looks unlikely to win any of them.

If Obama is the Democratic nominee, as looks likely, he will be a "sure thing" in three states: Illinois, Rhode Island, and Vermont. He's likely, though not a certainty, to win Maine, Connecticut, and perhaps Delaware. In every other state, McCain should be the favorite.

As Lexington explains the poor position of Senators Obama and Clinton: "You cannot associate with an America-bashing preacher or invent a story about braving sniper fire while landing at a quiet airport in Tuzla without paying a price."

Overall, things are looking very good for John McCain.

Over this weekend, I'll have additional material about how The Economist sees the emerging race for the presidency. A yearly subscription to the publication costs an imposing $99, but it's worth it.

Ways to Help McCain Win

Note: Until Wednesday of this week -- April 9 -- I'll be spending my time asking many bloggers and onliners to use their blogs and e-mails to build support for John McCain. I'd ask you to do the same thing on your blog, as well as to e-mail friends and family members and ask them to back John McCain. I hope you'll ask McCain supporters to contribute to his campaign, which they can do by going to: http://johnmccain.com and clicking on the "contribute" button. If you want to learn some techniques that will help McCain win the presidency, please go to Kathy Morrison's http://mcccainbloggerresources.blogspot.com. I always appreciate your visits, and I enjoy your comments.

RNC Posts New Web Video: “Politics vs. Petraeus”

WASHINGTON – Today the RNC released a new Web video, titled “Politics vs. Petraeus.” The video highlights Senators Clinton and Obama’s politicization of the War on Terror and complete disregard for the facts and the warnings made by General David Petraeus during his last congressional hearing on September 11, 2007.

After consistently promising to “always listen to our commanders on the ground,” Barack Obama has blatantly ignored Gen. Petraeus’ recommendations and pledged to enact an immediate and dangerous withdrawal of U.S. forces in Iraq if elected President. And despite warnings from Gen. Petraeus that “a premature drawdown of our forces would likely have devastating consequences,” Senator Clinton has promised to begin a precipitous withdrawal of American troops within 60 days.

“Politics vs. Petraeus” can be viewed by clicking here.

McCain: Make Nice With Hillary!

Note: On my Pennsylvania blog (http://pennsylvaniaforjohnmccain.blogspot.com) I have a link to John McCain's superb new ad. I hope you'll take a look at it. As the following column suggests, John McCain has a great chance to pick up votes from millions of Hillary Clinton supporters. You can help him to that end by continuing to communicate -- respectfully and compellingly -- with friends and family members who support Mrs. Clinton. Help bring them slowly into the McCain fold.

John McCain needs to go after the Hillary Clinton supporters in much the same way that a wolf would a lamb chop. John is a sharp individual and he has many bright people around him (like Rick Davis, Patrick Hynes, and Carly Fiorina), and they can see that a big chunk of the Hillary voters, perhaps as many as one-third, are ready to go to McCain in the general election.

Mrs. Clinton has said nice things about McCain (and so has Bill), including the fact that, compared to Obama (who has a speech he delivered in 2002), he has "a lifetime of experience." Husband Bill said that McCain has done everything conceivable for his country "other than give his life."

It's time for McCain to reciprocate -- and make positive statements about Hillary Clinton as a Senator. That might disconcert charter members of "the vast right-wing conspiracy," but it would make a lot of sense. On the other hand, McCain should restrict positive comments about Obama to the minimum possible. Obama is ready to be orator-in-chief but not commander-in-chief.

The Reagan Democrats of yesteryear (pro-life, pro-guns, pro-military) are voting for Mrs. Clinton, but iwthout enthusiasm. The more they find out about Obama -- everything from his support of live-birth-abortion to his rapt adoration of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his support of the Chicago Democratic machine -- the less likely they will be to vote for him.

In short, John McCain, make nice with Hillary Clinton. It won't save her campaign, but it will attract millions of Hillary-ites.

Note: Click on the following link to an important article on how Barack Obama's (Democratic) poll numbers are up and Hillary Clinton's money numbers are way down.

CAN MCCAIN WIN BLACK VOTE?

Folks:

I have posted about Day Two of Sen. McCain’s town hall event today on JohnMcCain.com:

http://www.johnmccain.com/Blog/Read.aspx?guid=81ffd3f8-a0bf-4de3-8599-02f165c2ab48

Check it out, and if you are inclined to link, we sure would appreciate it.

Patrick Hynes

Note: If you'd like to get excellent updates from the McCain Campaign, you can do so by e-mailing Patrick at: phynes@calypsocom.com.

Can McCain Win the Black Vote? The short answer is that he can't win a majority of the Black vote -- in any state -- but we can do a lot better than Republicans have in the past. In the past generation, Republican presidential candidates have won only about 10% of the Black vote.

What if McCain can win 20%-plus of the Black vote in battleground states like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, and Michigan? Then he would win the electoral votes in all of them. It's that important. There's some evidence that McCain will do better in Black communities than any Republican since Richard Nixon in 1960 (who won 32% of the Black vote in his race against John F. Kennedy). Frankly, McCain has more in common with most Blacks who vote than either Caucasian Hillary Clinton or mixed-race Barack Obama.

McCain says he will campaign in all 50 states (although he probably won't campaign much in states like Rhode Island and Vermont). He definitely should campaign (some, not constantly) in cities like Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus, and even Cleveland, which John Kerry famously visited 41 times in 2004.

In Philadelphia, McCain should bring in Rudy Giuliani and other Italian-Americans to campaign in the "Cheese Steak Area," South Philly. In the Black areas of North Philly, McCain should campaign with Lynn Swann, an NFL Hall-of-Famer and Republican gubernatorial candidate in 2006.

McCain also needs to involve Black veterans (tens of thousands in the Philly area) and Black ministers who hold traditional Christian views. Frankly, the Democrats have nothing to offer middle-class Black citizens.McCain needs to hit Obama hard on issues like education, where Obama has no real plan to improve the awful Philly schools.

Because of the terrible murder and robbery statistics in Philly and Pittsburgh, McCain needs to come up with tough plans for reducing crime.

In short, McCain shouldn't concede 90% of the Pennsylvania Black vote to Obama. He needs to hammer home how Democratic leadership has failed the people of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Black Pennsylvanians -- like their white counterparts -- should be willing to consider --and vote for -- an authentic American hero, which they have in John McCain.
